Whidbey Island Water System Association (WIWSA) is a non-profit formed in 2004 to provide member water systems in Island County with information, training and a forum for working with county, state and federal agencies concerned with water supply. WIWSA’s website, quarterly newsletter and member meetings are open to all, with member-only events offered during the year.


The organization’s purpose is to: 


  • Track current water system requirements and data
  • Provide an information focal point for members including samples of statements, forms, and reports as well as available technical and operating data from various sources.
  • Keep membership informed about government requirements and pending legislation, government and industry symposiums, and technical and legislative meetings.
  • Provide training for member water operators and well owners; facilitate networking for purveyors and decision makers.
  • Provide action forum for political action & public information on local water issues.
